A compromise between a straight-cut show saddle and a forward-cut general-purpose saddle, designed to give the rider more support whilst presenting the horse’s confirmation yet allowing movement to enable the horse to jump comfortably. The Stamford Working Hunter show saddle is built on an exclusive Jeffries’ tree, which is made in wider fittings for show horses and ponies. Padded and quilted hide kneepads, small thigh and knee rolls provide a secure and comfortable riding position. Built with the webbing for a point strap, which can be added if required. The same successful and versatile pattern of saddle as the Falcon Hawk Event with a ¾ higher cantle and pommel which also creates a slightly deeper seat which can give the rider greater security and stability. By inserting two gussets at the top of the front panel and using a dropped panel design, this saddle gives extra clearance for the withers. Built on a medium-deep spring tree with a round cantle. The leather-covered panels are flocked with pure new wool to aid a perfect fit and the flaps are generously cut from smooth, supple saddle leather with soft, air-cushioned kneepads to give a better grip when jumping.
